Allen N. Benning, D.D.S., M.S.D.

Dr. Allen Benning received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Loyola University of Chicago. He obtained a certificate in orthodontics and a Master of Science degree at Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Dr. Benning opened his orthodontic practice in Colorado Springs in 1974. He served in the United States Dental Corps from 1968-1971 and retired as a colonel in the Air Force Reserves in 1998.

Dr. Benning is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and stays knowledgeable of the most current orthodontic procedures and technology through his memberships in the following organizations:

  • Colorado Springs Dental Society
  • Colorado State Orthodontic Association

Michele J. Mathews, D.D.S.

Dr. Michele Mathews joined Dr. Benning’s practice in 2004. She graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center School of Dentistry at San Antonio in 1991. She then completed the tri-service orthodontic residency program at Wilford Hall Medical Center – Lackland Air Force Base.

Prior to specializing in orthodontics, Dr. Mathews practiced general dentistry from 1991-1998. She served in the United States Air Force from 1992-2004, and is currently a member of the in the Air Force Reserves.
